Standing as the shortest member of the band (height-wise that is), Dereck's passion for singing comes from a wide variety of classic and modern musical influences (Bon Jovi, Incubus, Bob Seger, Nickelback (just to name a few)).
He began showcasing his vocal abilities in grade school to his friends and classmates and by the age of 17, could be found behind a mic at Karaoke bars across the Niagara Region.
Dereck's dedication and pure enjoyment of music will keep Ontic around for many years to come.
